Update: The post has been pulled. No explanation from Facebook on what may have caused it to be posted in the first place, though.
Someone on Facebook’s social media team (lulz) appears to be drunk. The company posted the following status post about 50 minutes ago to its official UK Facebook Page, although it doesn’t show up here in the US:
A few other possible explanations:
- Has Facebook been hacked?
- Is this a secret message?
- Has Facebook finally succumbed to the inanity of its user’s comments?
- Is the Timeline becoming self-aware?
What does it mean?! As of 2 PM ET, the post is still live. We’ve contacted Facebook for more information and will update this post when we hear back.
