Go Daddy acquires accounting software company Outright.com

Go Daddy has announced that is has acquired accounting software company, Outright.com.

The company has software that helps small businesses manage their company without having to deal with spreadsheets and other legacy dinosaurs.

Here’s what Go Daddy CEO Warren Adelman had to say about the acquisition:

It is my great pleasure to announce that the talented professionals at Outright.com have accepted our offer to join the Go Daddy family.

Go Daddy is dedicated and passionate about helping small businesses grow.

Outright helps entrepreneurs manage their finances, giving them time to focus on growing their business.
When we first began discussing a possible collaboration, we found ourselves finishing each other’s sentences. Go Daddy’s partnership with Outright just felt like a natural fit.

Outright boasts over 200K customers on its homepage, so this is a play to keep all of those small businesses within the walls of Go Daddy. Considering that most companies do most of their business and marketing on the web these days, it makes sense for Go Daddy to enter this space. If anything, it’s a way to get more Go Daddy services paid for directly through the service.

Outright’s blog is currently down, but we’ll certainly update this piece when we have word from the company. There’s no word on the price, but we’ve asked both companies for a statement.

UPDATE: Here’s what Outright had to say on its blog today, read the full post here.

Today, Outright opens a new chapter in our company’s history. I want to personally share it with all of you, our loyal customers. Outright has been acquired by Go Daddy, the world’s largest web hosting provider.* Outright is now a Go Daddy company.

I know the first question that comes to mind is “What does it mean to me as an Outright customer?” I want to be very clear about this.

Your Outright service will remain the same. Continue using it as you do today.
