Google updated the Gmail for iOS app today with a refined design that aligns with Apple’s aesthetic in iOS 7. On the iPhone, the changes are subtle but give the inbox and sidebar a slightly wider, cleaner look.
The improvements are most noticeable on the iPad though, where Google has added an all-new navigation bar for swapping between categories and accounts in landscape mode. As part of the update, it’s now possible to compose and view emails in a full-screen mode while holding the tablet in portrait. Oh, and there’s also “better scrolling”, which is pretty self-explanatory.
