It’s almost time, once again, for the conference that I described last year as “for those who make the Web work”. GLUE Conference is returning to its home in Broomfield, Colorado May 22nd & 23rd at the Omni Interlocken Hotel. This year, the agenda is even more in-depth. It’s a focus on the cloud, APIs, mobile, big data, architecture and the best ways to make all of these pieces work together.
My experience tells me that GLUE is unlike any other conference that you’ve attended. Sure, some hack weekends and genre-specific get-togethers will help you gain an understanding of best practices, but GLUE is entirely focused on the developers and how they can change the world in which they work.
You’ll hear from a bevy of amazing keynote speakers, including folks from Juniper Networks, Netflix and Intel. But that’s the last part where GLUE will seem like any other conference. Breakout sessions and workshops allow you to completely customize your experience toward the information that you need to know, or perhaps content that you wish you knew more about. Check out some examples:
- An Intro to the Emerging JSON-Based Identity and Security Protocols
- Building a Distributed Data Platform with Node.js, Storm, Kafka and ZeroMQ
- How to Use the Salesforce Identify Platform: A Deep Dive
There are also tracks, where incredible speakers will teach on Mobile, APIs or Cloud Operating Environments. In each of these, the entire focus will be on the core message, but you can mix and match them to your brain’s desire.
Broomfield is an incredible little town, situated about halfway between Boulder and Denver. It’s an easy drive from the Denver Airport, and the Omni Interlocken is one of the best conference venues you’ll ever find. Early-bird registration is still open until this Sunday, but you can take an additional 10% off when you use the code TNW321 while signing up.
Join TNW for GLUE Conference 2013. If you’re truly ready to make the Web work, this is where you need to start.
