Can’t get enough of all that Star Wars branding everywhere? Giphy has your back: it’s worked with the people behind Star Wars to add exclusive filters to its GIF-creating app.
Giphy Cam now has six official filters built in direct collaboration with the special effects team that created the movie. The six filters include a Millennium Falcon, BB-8, lightsabers, jumping to light speed and a Storm Trooper mask.
Each effect can be overlaid over the real world using the app’s camera mode, so you can make mashed-up Star Wars GIFs.
It’s the first time Giphy has collaborated with an outside brand in its GIF-creation app and probably won’t be the last, as the company looks toward monetizing moving images — but for now, this deal didn’t involve money.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens doesn’t open in US theatres until December 18.
