Mac App DealsOne of the great things about being a Mac user is the developer ecosystem. Countless $20 to $70 third party apps are so integral to my workflow that I’m not sure what I could do without them. As a result, I felt compelled to talk about two great deals that Mac users should be aware of.

The first is the MacHeist nanoBundle, which is offering 6 apps for free. The second is the One Finger Discount that is offering 20% discounts off software from over 100 developers. However, both deals end tomorrow (Friday the 13th) so make sure to hurry and take advantage of these promotions while they last.

    MacHeist nanoBundle

    Overview
6 completely free apps (ShoveBox, WriteRoom, Twitterific, TinyGrab, Hordes of Orcs and Mariner Write) that have a total value of $154. The only catch is that you have to give them your name and email address as well as answer a couple quick questions.

    My Favorite
Out of these 6 apps, I am a huge fan of Write Room. It’s the ultimate distraction-free writing client for the Mac. Open the app and you get a full screen writing environment and a blinking curser. In an age where software developers feel the need to add more features to justify charging for future versions of their software, it’s a very refreshing minimalistic approach.

    One Finger Discount

    Overview
20% discount off software from over 100 Mac developers. Simply follow the links to the software from the site and enter the code “OneFingerDiscount” at checkout to receive the 20% discount.

    My Favorite
I use about 10 apps that are part of this promotion. Out of those, one app that I would highly recommend is 1Password. 1Password is the leading Mac password management app and is the first thing I install on any Mac I buy.

If interested in what I use on a daily basis, check out my Mac Software page on my personal site or hit me up on Twitter. I’m a bit of a Mac app addict so I would be happy to answer any questions about specific apps. Also, make sure to check out Mac.Appstorm as well as i use this for discovering and learning about Mac apps.
