Fotoshop by Adobé: a brilliant spoof that mocks makeup commercials

Introducing Fotoshop by Adobé, a spoof that smacks a healthy dose of reality into our society’s unrealistic beauty standards.

The commercial, created by Jesse Rosten, brilliantly jabs at beauty products, magazine photo shoots and everything else responsible for creating a generation in love with a false reality. Being fit? That’s great. Being sculpted in Photoshop? Not so much…

Rosten, a filmmaker based out of Northern California, says he was inspired to create the piece when he was watching TV one sleepless night and stumbled upon an infomercial for some beauty product.

“The commercial showed before and after portraits, that to my eye, looked like the same photo just photoshopped. I laughed to myself. Then I made this video.” He poignantly explains that “this commercial isn’t real, and neither are society’s standards of beauty.”
