Former head of Windows at Microsoft, Steven Sinofsky, has joined cloud storage firm Box as an advisor.
Box announced the move today, saying Sinofsky would provide experience and insight for the platform and the organization as a whole, noting that he “has a stronger and more fluid vision for the future of computing than almost anyone I’ve met”, according to Aaron Levie, co-founder of Box.
It is thought that Sinofsky could help Box make the transition from being a pure storage platform to being one that offers a full suite of document editing tools too. Sinofsky left Microsoft last November.
