FlashChat: the anonymous chat app just got smarter

Last year, we told you about FlashChat, a clever app that let’s you communicate anonymously with others using the same Wi-Fi network as you. Available on iOS and Android it was an intelligent way of chatting to people nearby without having to worry about there being any record – all chats are deleted when you leave the Wi-Fi network.

It meant you could chat to people at music gigs, museums, or even quietly bitch about someone in your office with a colleague, all without them knowing who you are.

This year, FlashChat is back, with version 2.0. Instead of being restricted to chatting to people using the Wi-Fi network you are currently on, you can re-visit any chat room you’ve previously entered, as long as you’ve kept the log-in details on your FlashChat Wi-Fi list.
