Introducing Cloud Strife of ‘Final Fantasy VII’ – equipped with his almighty Buster Sword and limit breaks.

Announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation yesterday, the arrival of Cloud also brings a special Midgar stage and an outfit change for the soldier. Nintendo is expected create a Cloud Amiibo for super fans on the Wii U as well.

So far, it looks like Cloud will be the only character from the Final Fantasy series to arrive on Smash, but you never know, maybe Aeris will eventually make her way there. Nintendo has proved that literally anything can happen.
