Amazon Web Services, the cloud hosting platform behind many popular apps and websites, is having issues right now in multiple regions.
Services like Yo, Typeform and Yik Yak are unavailable as a result of the outages, which appear to span across the US East, US West and North Virginia data centers.
The current issues with Yik Yak appear to be related to an Amazon AWS outage. Our Yaks are working to get things fixed!

According to Down Detector, the issues started at 1:46AM ET.
Amazon’s status page only reports issues in the North Virginia region right now, though comments are pouring in on Twitter and Hacker News that it’s more widespread.
Ironically, today is “sysadmin appreciation day,” yet sysadmins around the world are getting out of bed to fix problems related to this outage.
We’ve contacted Amazon for comment on what caused the outage and will update when we hear back.
Update: As of 3:57 AM it appears services are coming back online.
