Facebook is suing a spammer who bombarded the social network with fake links to celebrity porn.

As Courthouse News reports (via BBC), a man called Christopher Peter Tarquini was named in court papers filed by Facebook, after the Internet giant spent $5,000 over the course of year investigating his actions. The complaint says he breached his Facebook contract and violatied state and federal computer laws.

Facebook claims that Tarquini has been using self-created scripts and posted “deceptive messages, images and links” on Facebook users’ pages. When a user clicked these links, it would take them to third-party websites thus earning Tarquin commission, and automatically re-posted the message to their own Facebook profile.
