Facebook dropped its third quarter 2014 results today, which includes a mighty impressive monthly active user base of 1.35 billion.

That’s the roughly the same population of China the country with the highest population on the planet. To put that in perspective, the combined population of the United States (316.1 million) and Europe (742.5 million), is barely over a billion.

Monthly mobile users hit 1.12 billion, an increase of 29 percent over last year.

The monthly active users number is an increase of  14 percent over last year. So by this time next year (or sooner), Facebook will be the largest population attached to an entity.
