Eyefi opens its cloud storage and syncing photo service to all

Eyefi has announced universal access to its Eyefi Cloud service for the first time to photographers who do not own the company’s Mobi Wi-Fi SD card. This lets anyone use their smartphone or Wi-Fi enabled camera to unify and organize their photos via Eyefi’s online library.

Coupled with the free Eyefi apps for iOS and Android, the cloud service lets photographers organize, edit and share their photos as soon as they get their shot. Eyefi Cloud syncs the entire photo library to all user devices so photographers can stay up-to-date. Eyefi Cloud facilitates integration with smartphones that can access your account so that images from different cameras can flow into the same timeline.

The Eyefi Cloud not only lets you enhance and organize photos on the spot, but also lets you make adjustments such as crop, rotate, tag or create albums via your phone, computer or tablet. You can also view camera settings and EXIF information.

Photographers can download the Eyefi Mobi app available for iOS, Android and Kindle devices. Then, sign up for Eyefi Cloud within the Eyefi Mobi app, which includes a free, 30-day membership. Annual memberships cost $49.99 per year and feature unlimited photo syncing and storage.
