EXEC is a startup that helps anyone find local, part-time help with errands, tasks and other jobs, a bit like Taskrabbit. Now, the company has announced #execfounders, a charity initiative that lets you rent a tech company founder.
Yes, you read that right. You can rent time with 5 different tech founders via a call or Skype chat, and all the proceeds will go to Donors Choose. Lined up for this Saturday are the folks that created Reddit, Hipmunk, Sincerely, Scribd and Justin.tv.
More specifically, the site asks you to contact each founder for specific reasons. Essentially, if you want to start a company, there’s a goldmine of experience waiting for you:
You can talk to Alexis Ohanian if you’re interested in Y Combinator, building brands & communities online, or combatting terrible legislation in Washington (e.g., SOPA/PIPA). You’ll want to get in touch with Steve Huffman if you need help with web applications. Chat with Matt Brezina if you need advice on customer development, finding product/market fit and scaling user acquisition. Talk with Tikhon Bernstam for help with building out your product, team, and company. Lastly, Justin Kan can help with general advice on starting companies, recruiting talent, and management.

In order to get time with a founder, all you have to do is enter a short description at iamexec.com or on our iPhone app of what you’d like to discuss and your phone number, and one of the founders will get in touch. Please include the hashtag #execfounders in your job description. If you’d like to chat with someone specific, please include that in your job description as well, and we’ll try to accommodate you (no promises though).
You can either choose to schedule your job in advance for this Saturday, or just enter it in real time the day of (founders will be available between 11am – 5pm PST). You don’t have to be in SF to request a job: just make sure on the web that your location is set to SF or you skip location. If you haven’t yet created an account, do so here.
You can rent time with one of the founders of @parseit, @sincerely, @reddit or @thehipmunk this Sat through @iamEXEC blog.iamexec.com/post/204155020…

So if you ever wanted to get ahold of one of these guys, now’s your chance to get their attention. As EXEC notes, the founders will be available to give you business advice, serve as a sounding board for your startup idea, or just to chat. The team hopes to provide you with a simple, valuable opportunity to get access to successful entrepreneurs that you might not have an easy way to get in touch with. Plus, once again, this is all for charity.
The service will cost you $100/hour, but certainly has the potential to be very valuable for young startups itching for feedback. If you’re interested in signing up, simply visit the link below:
