Everyone go home: President Obama has unveiled his Spotify songs of the summer playlist

Sorry, Fetty, for all the hype ‘Trap Queen’ has received over the past few months, you did not make the presidential cut for this year’s songs of the summer.

President Obama has unveiled a White House official Spotify playlist of songs for summer days and nights. Most of the featured artists, like the record on the album art, are classics, i.e. The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and The Rolling Stones. A little bit of Beyoncé, Coldplay and The Lumineers make it into the mix as well.

If Obama’s rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ brought you to tears earlier this summer, just imagine POTUS swooning in the Oval Office to Al Green’s ‘How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.’ I picture it to be exactly like a scene out of ‘Scandal,’ minus all the sappy romantic BS and goblets of wine.
