EntrepreneurshipWith an aim to give entrepreneurship and startups a boost in the country, the Entrepreneurship Cell, a student-body at Indian Institute Technology – Kharagpur (IIT K), will organize the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES 2010) on January 15-17, 2010. GES will host six international competitions including the first-ever Clean Technology Challenge alongwith the Start-up Camp and VC Pitch.

What is GES  ?

Global Entrepreneurship Summit ,GES is a annual flagship event,  one of the biggest entrepreneurial platforms for academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, eminent business personalities, venture capitalists and the students to gather at one place and share their entrepreneurial endeavours and experiences, and to pledge to take entrepreneurship to greater scales.

The IITs have always been accussed of nuturing brilliant brains and pushing them abroad with lucrative jobs prospects. The GES acts as a entreprenuership summit for buzzing minds to stay and work here in India. We could soon expect students turning down lucrative job opportunities to stay in India with good future prospects with such events.

GES 2010 would be filled with various interesting lectures, workshops, events and contests to keep entrepreneurial minds busy and active all the time.  With various funding organisations and web media partners , GES would also host Startup Camp which would serve as a platform that would help the best startups to connect with students and VCs.  These startups would provide college students a unique opportunity to work with them as a full time employee or as an intern.
