Update (May 11): Elon Musk has settled on the name ‘Godot’ for The Boring Company’s first tunneling machine. He explained that the idea is to stick with the theme of ‘poems & plays’.

Bonus points if you get the reference.

As if it wasn’t enough to build reusable rockets, create self-driving electric cars and batteries for solar power for your home, Elon Musk has recently begun busying himself with The Boring Company, a new venture that aims to reduce traffic woes by transporting cars at high speed through tunnels below city streets.

Now, he’s mulling a name for the company’s first tunneling machine – and judging by his tweets, it sounds like he isn’t doing very well on his own:

Some of the suggestions are, well…

TechCrunch editor-in-chief Matthew Panzarino was clearly thinking about our CEO when he chimed in with his suggestion:

We’re almost certainly going to hear a lot about The Boring Company and this machine in the months and years to come (and we’re going to have to write about it), so you’d be helping us all out if you can come up with a half-decent name and tweet it to Musk here – even if he isn’t explicitly seeking suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Update: Oh god…
