eBay updates iOS apps with new listing flow for easier selling, speedier checkout, and better search

eBay updates iOS apps with new listing flow for easier selling, speedier checkout, and better search

eBay on Monday updated its native iPhone and iPad apps with a slew of new features, including a revamped listing flow, faster checkout, and search enhancements. You can download the latest versions of the apps now directly from the official Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad).

The new apps looks largely the same as it has before; this is more of a feature update than a visual one. Here’s the iPhone version:

For hardcore eBay users, the new listing flow should be a significant improvement. Not only does it feature category, pricing, and shipping guidance, but the photo flow has been improved as well with more editing tools. Photos are key to making a solid listing, so the new tools will undoubtedly be scrutinized very closely.

Yet the best part is undoubtedly the ability to save multiple listing drafts. Furthermore, you can finish and start your listings in the app as well as the eBay site. A perfect scenario is making the whole listing on the desktop and then heading out with your phone to snap a picture of the item in question, adding a few more details, and then posting the listing directly from your iPhone.

For everyone else, eBay is claiming a speedier checkout process as well as search enhancements. While the two are undoubtedly welcome by all, they appear to be under-the-hood changes so details are scarce.
