If you live in New York, Chicago, San Jose or the San Francisco Bay Area, listen up: eBay is offering free delivery for all orders submitted through its same-day shipping service eBay Now until December 24.

The service, which usually slaps on a $5 delivery charge, promises to drop off goods ordered from local shops “in about an hour.” Stores that are signed up to the scheme include Best Buy, Target and Urban Outfitters.

It’s a small, but notable incentive which we imagine will become increasingly attractive as the days slip by in December. One-hour delivery on Christmas Eve could be very handy for some last-minute shopping.
