With a self explanatory name, Wallpaper Wizard does not need an introduction to explain what it does.
While not being a particularly groundbreaking idea, this Mac app succeeds with a near perfect execution. No more surfing the web to find a nice wallpaper that fits your screen – thanks to Wallpaper Wizard, you now have an archive of quality wallpapers at your disposal.
Wallpaper Wizard has a minimal yet well designed interface. Upon first launch, you get to change the wallpapers quickly in a random fashion. From the same screen you can specify the interval to switch the wallpapers and the startup preferences.
To pick and choose from the collection of wallpapers available, you will have to sign into the app. After logging in, wallpapers categorized in their respective folders can be accessed. There are about 80 free wallpapers readily available in the Lite version of Wallpaper Wizard and the real fun is when you upgrade it to the Pro version.
Instead of downloading all HD wallpapers and wasting a lot of disk space, Wallpaper Wizard offers a nice preview and once you found the one you like, hit the + button. The wallpaper will be downloaded and added to the My Selection folder. Downloaded wallpapers are not automatically displayed in the desktop. You will have to select and activate them manually.
Wallpaper Wizard lite is free for everyone. However, if you are really into prettying up your desktop, you should definitely check out the full version of the app. It costs $9.99 and comes with a huge collection of 100,000 high definition wallpapers. Images are available in almost all categories available under the sun.
HD wallpapers look fabulous on the LED screen of a Mac. The variety of wallpapers and collections available are as much laudable as the quality.
