In our initial review of the Droid Razr, we noted that the super-slim Android phone was screaming fast, but it had some issues with image clarity and a rather disappointing camera. But Moto isn’t to be swayed. In fact, the company is pushing out a new version of the Razr, with a purported 24-hour battery life, and it’s going to cost you $300.
The Droid Razr Maxx is set to land at Verizon stores on January 26th has landed, featuring all of the same specs as the original Droid Razr, but with a bigger battery and a 16 GB SD card, for 32 GB of total storage. Of course that also means that it’s thicker and heavier than the original Droid Razr. So if you just wanted a thin and light phone, you’re out of luck with the Maxx.
That 24 hours of battery life comes from a 3300 mAh power source, compared to the 1780 mAh version in the OG Droid Razr.
So the choice is yours, my friends. Do you want thin and light, or do you want a phone that can last all day on battery-sucking LTE? If you prefer the latter, chances are that the Droid Razr Maxx is the device for you.
