The deals space is one of the foggiest and over-saturated areas of the startup world. Despite the downturn and reshuffling of giants in this area, however, there are sectors out there that could still use a bit of deal hunting; we believe design falls into that category.
Taking the form of a humble Tumblr blog, Dlio is doing just that: digging up deals on typography and design-related resources “so you don’t have to.” Created by former EA, Disney and Microsoft designer Justin Baker, Dlio has been around for just a few months.
The site largely focuses on typography-related discounts, and features deals on many of our favorite typefaces of Winter 2012-13. Our favorites include this deal for 50% off of Latino Type’s Ride My Bike.
