Disney has tapped developer Nimblebit to create a Death Star-themed version of its lovable 8-bit Tiny Tower game. The game is expected to arrive soon.
I only just got over my massive Tiny Tower addiction, but it looks like I’ll be diving right back in. From the looks of the poster, all your favorite characters will be recreated as bitizens, but it’s not yet clear whether the Tiny Death Star will have a dedicated PR department.
If you’ve never played Tiny Tower, it involves building a skyscraper one level at a time and managing its residents and businesses. Nimblebit’s fun style and retro graphics add charm to the simplistic gameplay. I am curious how the tower mechanic will translate to the Death Star’s spherical shape, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
