DeviantART Celebrates 10 Years Of Showcasing User-Generated Artwork

DevinantART is celebrating its tenth year online today, growing from a small part of a music network to become one of the most well-known social networks for budding artists, designers and photographers on the internet.

The site now attracts 67 million pageviews, over 1.5 million comments and pays host to more than 100,000 works of art every day, ranking it as on of the top 125 websites internationally based on traffic. Whilst DeviantART hosts a considerable amount of digital art, the website has a comprehensive category structure that allows Flash, literature, filmmaking and photography to also be listed on the site.

If you have ever downloaded a theme for your Windows machine or set a your desktop background to a fan-made Twilight wallpaper, the chances are that it was created and uploaded by a DeviantART user.

As part of their ten year celebrations, Co-founder and CEO Angelo Sotira will be launching a new application at the Birthday Bash, held at the House of Blues in Hollywood on Saturday.
