The OS X analytics and distribution toolkit DevMate is now completely free to use for individual developers or large teams.

DevMate offers crash reporting, licensing, update delivery and feedback collection. It was developed as an in-house solution by MacPaw for CleanMyMac before being distributed widely.

It’s not clear why MacPaw has made DevMate free to use, though it boasts companies like Realmac Software, DigiDNA and Readdle are among its users.

If DevMate’s pricing scheme was keeping you at bay, it may be time to check it out. Twitter’s Fabric toolkit is also a good option; it provides the same features, and is also free.
