Developers received the newest build for OS X’s upcoming update to 10.6.3 this weekend. The build number this time is 10D538, and it’s the third seed for this update version.

World of Apple snagged the seed notes from the release and posted them last night.

This is now the third build seeded to developers for this update. It weighs in at a whopping 772.9 MB, and the build number is getting pretty high at 10D538, so it’s safe to expect full release of the 10.6.3 update in the next few weeks.

Details follow after the jump.

Main Improvements:

  • Performance improvements for 64-bit Logic
  • Addresses compatibility issues with OpenGL-based applications
  • Includes changes to QuickTime X that increase reliability, improve compatibility and enhance security.
  • Improves printing reliability and compatibility with 3rd party printers
  • Respects the DNS server ordering as specified in Network Preferences
  • Addresses an issue that causes background message colors to display incorrectly in Mail when scrolling
  • Resolves an issue that prevented files with the # or & in their names from opening in Rosetta
  • Resolves an issue that prevented files from copying to Windows shares
  • Resolves an issue that caused machines using BTMM and the Bonjour Sleep Proxy to wake unexpectedly

Main Focus Areas:

  • AirPort
  • GraphicsDrivers
  • QuickTime
  • VoiceOver

The only stated major issue with this build is that viewing shared photo albums in Front Row may cause a crash. If that’s the biggest issue they have to fix at this point, things are looking good.
