picture-138After Facebook’s big news earlier today, they have also released a Facebook Desktop for AIR client to demonstrate the functionality.

I have to give credit where it’s due, the app brings nearly all the Facebook stream functionality to the desktop. Liking and commenting is a breeze, as is reviewing other peoples comments on individual shares. Unless I’m mistaken, you aren’t able to share media just yet via the app, but status updates are not a problem.

As an avid Friendfeed user, I definitely felt a slightly nauseating feeling whilst using it, its UI and functionality is uncannily similar.

Seesmic Desktop also includes the Facebook stream but unfortunately it’s read only, you aren’t able to comment or like (yet).
