D&D is getting an official app for traditional tabletop play

Whether you’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons for decades or are just starting to get into the tabletop role-playing game, you’ll be happy to know that a new mobile app is on the way to save you some paperwork.

D&D Beyond, which is set to arrive in beta this summer, is being designed to allow Dungeon Masters and players to enjoy the game without having to track progress with pen and paper. It’ll support fifth edition rules, and include official content like a rules compendium, character builder and interactive character sheets.

D&D publisher Wizards of the Coast is teaming up with Twitch-owned in-game communication service Curse to build the app. You can sign up to try the beta when it launches on this page.
