This hilarious Twitter account is bringing the dancing pumpkin back from the dead

Halloween is not exactly around the corner yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s not the perfect time for an old but familiar pumpkin to be resurrected.

Depending on your knowledge on the history of memes, you may or may not know about the legendary KXVO Pumpkin Dance. This strange video was uploaded in 2006 by a local U.S. broadcasting station, and in 2009 was brought to attention by BuzzFeed. It’s embedded below to refresh your memory:

The soundtrack to the video is a horrible cover of the original Ghostbusters soundtrack, but as it turns out that’s not the only song this pumpkin can dance to. The Twitter account @dancingpmkin is now exploring the range of songs that works with its succulent dance moves.

The account has started tweeting only 5 days ago but already amassed over 18k followers, which either means we’re thirsty for fresh memes or can’t wait for Halloween this year. Check out some of the best ones below.
