Confirmed: Christian Bale will play Steve Jobs in upcoming biopic

Christian Bale/Steve Jobs fans around the world can now rejoice as the Hollywood A-lister has been confirmed to be taking on the role of the iconic leader in a forthcoming biopic based on Walter Isaacson’s biography.

The casting decision was confirmed in a Bloomberg interview today with director Aaron Sorkin, who revealed that Bale didn’t even need to audition for the role.

“We needed was the best actor on the board in a certain age range… He really is a phenomenal actor…He didn’t have to audition. Well, there was a meeting. The role is an extremely difficult role – he has more words to say than most people have in three movies combined,” Sorkin told Bloomberg, before adding “He’s going to crush it.” You can see the full interview for yourself above.
