Company sued for renaming dissatisfied customer: Mr. Stupid Person.

Company sued for renaming dissatisfied customer: Mr. Stupid Person.

Ha’aretz is reporting that mobile network Partner is being sued by a former customer for addressing his bills to “Mr Stupid Person”.

The customer, Samir Samchayev, decided to cancel one of his lines with the network after a spate of technical issues. It seems that the next bill received was addressed to Mr Stupid Person. Samchayev checked his account on the website and the same customer name appeared. Samchayev is suing for defamation. The network are claiming only Samchayev or someone with his login credentials could’ve made the change.

Of course, it’s something that anyone who has ever done any customer service or helpdesk support has been tempted do. Most people just stop at tempted.
