Every day, startups are innovating ideas that move us towards a sustainable future. It’s more important than ever to make a positive impact on our society and our planet – that’s why these startups should be recognized.
Chivas Venture 2019 is a global competition that gives away $1 million in no-strings funding every year to social entrepreneurs that blend profit with purpose. To date, Chivas Venture has already given away $4 million to the most promising startups making a positive impact on our world. We’re proud to say that this year’s top five finalists will go head to head at TNW Conference 2019, where the winner will be announced!
After an intensive round of local pitch competitions, the 20 most promising, ambitious, and impactful startups have been chosen. These businesses tackle a wide range of social, environmental, and economic issues; from a fitness app that turns burned calories into food for those in need, to viable water solutions for schools in rural areas, and sustainable textiles created from the by-products of winemaking.
On April 9, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite startup, and the winner will receive $50,000 from the fund. The five runner-ups will also get $10,000 each. Check out the 20 finalists to see who you’ll vote for!
Before the Chivas Venture Final, we’ll also see the list go from 20 to just 5, after a quarter-final and semi-final in Amsterdam. At TNW Conference on May 9, the top five finalists will pitch their businesses in front of the judges and our audience of techies, investors, and entrepreneurs. Stay tuned to find out who the judges will be – last year, they included musician and entrepreneur will.i.am and actor Richard Ayoade.
