In addition to speaking to Manning, Chang will also speak to members of Manning’s team, who advocated tirelessly for her release.
The interview will air on a special edition of NightLine. ABC intends to air portions of the interview on Good Morning America, World New Tonight with David Muir, and other ABC properties.
Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison after she leaked 750,000 classified and sensitive military documents to WikiLeaks. Her sentence was commuted after seven years by Barack Obama, as one of his final acts in office.
