The world of typography is a vast, rich landscape of subtle curves, geometry, ink and pixels…unless of course you’ve only heard of Helvetica, Comic Sans, Times New Roman and Georgia. In that case, you must admit your inexcusable ignorance and use this flow chart: So You Need A Typeface:

Of course, this flowchart (found on Visual.ly) will never replace a skilled designer or typographer, but it’s not the worst place for you to start. Also, some of the results and questions here are quite hilarious, although that might just be some of that famous designer humor we all hear so much about.
