Dropbox is a great way to sync files across multiple devices especially when those devices are tablets and smartphones. But, there are limitations to what you can do on those mobile devices. Today, some of those limitations have been removed.

1201_dropbox_200Dropbox just updated its iOS app with the ability to rename folders and files and move files. A new ‘more actions’ button signified by three dots now appears next to the sharing button when you are previewing a file. From that drop-down you can rename or move a file.

You can rename folders by swiping right on the target folder in the list view and tapping the rename icon.
