Google is introducing the ability to pre-order movies from its Google Play marketplace.
The feature is only available in the US, although Google says more countries will be added soon. In short, it means viewers can express their interest in a title and have it ready for streaming or downloading on its release date. Google only charges viewers when the title is available, and also sends an email to confirm it’s been added to their library.

Pre-orders could prove useful if you’ve just watched an amazing trailer, but worry that you’ll forget about the movie before its digital premiere. Google says the feature will also cover films that are “still in theaters,” which should appeal to movie buffs itching to get their hands on the latest flicks.
