A small but worthy update for GIF users on Tumblr (aka everyone on the platform) – you’ll now be able to overlay text on its GIF Maker tool.
You’ll have a selection of just three font choices, but they can be resized however you like and you can pick the color from the gradient on the right side. Just like most other social media photo editing tools, you can also add some emoji to the image. Unicode characters like ☃ and ⍾ are supported as well, if you’re fancy.
The update will arrive first to iOS, with Android support to follow “in the next few weeks.” Once updated, you should see the GIF post type on the app to get straight to making moving images, you buncha millennials.
