You can finally edit your Instagram captions and location from within the app

You can finally edit your Instagram captions and location from within the app

How many times have you dropped a caption on your Instagram post only to realize it has a typo. Damn autocorrect! Well our long nightmare is finally over. Now you can fix those typos with the latest update for iOS and Android.

tumblr_inline_neu8b9lBpJ1qm4rc3Today, Instagram announced updates for both iOS and Android that include the ability to edit the caption beneath your photo and change your photo location.

The editing is only available for the post’s original comment/caption. So if you drop a typo in a friend’s photo, you’ll have to delete your comment and repost it.

The app also ships with a new Explore icon. Where once was a compass is now a magnifying glass. The actual feature also has a Photos and People tab to help you narrow down who and what you are looking for.

The Profile icon also got a redesign. Instead of looking like a card, it now uses a silhouette of a person.
