Busbud for iOS brings its international bus booking service literally on-the-go

Busbud for iOS brings its international bus booking service literally on-the-go

Traveling by bus in foreign countries is not only one of the more authentic ways to experience the local landscape, it’s almost one of the most economical. Busbud, a Web service that lets you book bus tickets in cities around the world, today is bringing its service on mobile platform with its new iOS app.

The app will allow travelers to book bus tickets in North America, South America, Europe and Africa. The results are aggregated from partner operators around the world, such as Megabus, Greyhound, Omnibus de Mexico and more (you can browse through the available cities here).

After making a purchase, users can access their confirmed tickets from within the app along with directions to drop-off and pick-up locations. They can also consult the app for currency exchange information, maps and travel history.

By allowing travelers to make bookings and access their tickets on-the-go, the company hopes to lessen the pain of traveling – domestic or international, cities unfamiliar or otherwise.
