BT is now offering its YouView box-equipped TV customers the option to purchase movies aired on the service from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Titles available to download include The Wolverine, DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo (from February 17), The Croods, Elysium, Captain Phillips (from February 10) and The Smurfs 2. There are also older movies like The Social Network, the Alien franchise, Black Swan and Jerry Maguire. Titles are available to download in standard definition or high definition and are prices from £5.99 and £8.99 respectively.
Purchases are streamed to the YouView box and are (as you would expect) available to watch as many times as you like. The company added that TV box sets will be added to the roster of purchasable titles in “the coming months”.
