BT unveils first Netflix TV bundle

BT unveils first Netflix TV bundle

After spilling the beans in its Q2 results last month that it had done a deal with Netflix, BT has launched its first package bundling in the streaming service. You can now sign up for BT Infinity, Netflix, BT TV and a free YouView box under one bill.

The deal with BT is a first for Netflix in the UK. If you sign up for the new package, which starts at £5.99 for the first 6 months then jumps to £20.49 a month for 18 months, Netflix will be included in your BT bill. If you’ve already signed up to Netflix, you’ll be able to watch it through your existing BT TV set top box.

The new BT Infinity package includes the company’s new mini YouView box which can access up to 70 FreeView TV and radio channels, BT TV’s Box Office on-demand movie service and BT Sport. It also includes access to catch up TV from iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD and Demand Five.

As always there are some other fees to take into account. You’ll need to pay a £30 activation fee if you’re just signing up for BT Infinity or £49 for BT TV and Infinity. There’s also a £6.95 delivery charge for the Hub itself.
