UK-based mobile GPS navigation provider Navfree (actually a service operated by a company called Navmii Holdings) today announced that it has reached a significant milestone, hitting 10 million registered users and app downloads in just two years.
It hit 5.5 million users in February this year.
Navmii says users from more than 30 countries continually update its navigation system with more than 20,000 map corrections per month.
Needless to say, this makes Navfree worth checking out especially if you’re reliant on navigation apps on the iPhone 5.
Says Navmii CEO Peter Atalla:
“We are delighted to have hit the 10 million user milestone and are very grateful to all of the users who travel with us every day.
Navfree is currently the number one mobile GPS Satnav app in 10 countries and with the help of our users who constantly update the maps, we aim to continue providing an unbeatable navigation system that’s free and easy to use.”
Navfree is monetized through in-app purchases and advertising.
