Started when Microsoft’s search engine was still called Live, cashback on shopping via Microsoft’s search engine seemed a great idea.

Bing Cashback will be discontinued from July 30, 2010, until then users can still use the feature. On the official blog, the team explains that the though the feature was well accepted by the advertisers, customers on the other hand didn’t use it a lot.

Bing has been on the rise and it seems according to Microsoft’s internal metrics, Bing Cashback wasn’t a factor in that.
