Spark, which I humbly believe to be the best email client on iOS, is now available for your Mac. The free app supports most email services, including Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and Exchange (among others) and brings some of your favorite features form other email apps into one really attractive package.
Spark’s Mac app brings all of the features you’re used to — swipe, third-party integrations with Box, Dropbox, iCloud (and others), smart sorting, etc. — and wraps it in one of the nicest-looking packages you’ll ever find. It’s not just pretty though, it’s truly as flawless an email experience as you’ll find on any platform.
Natural language search, quick replies, and a notifications that only bug me for important emails round out the experience, each of these being worth precious seconds and minutes that I’d much rather spend, well, just about anywhere.
With Spark though, it’s not about putting a bow on existing features or the seamless nature by which it goes about tackling an out-of-control inbox. It’s about customizability. If you can think it, you can (generally) do it. Need a long right swipe to label a message and a short right swipe to mark it as spam? No problem. Want to add a folder to a widget for quick access? Done. The sky is the limit and the only real hurdle is your own creativity. If Spark doesn’t offer a solution through customization, the fix probably doesn’t exist.
