The BBC has launched a new music service called Playlister that will allow users to save lists of tracks they have heard across the BBC’s range of channels and export them to its digital music partners, which include Spotify, YouTube and Deezer, for full playback.
The service was announced today alongside the new BBC Store and allows users, after signing in, to simply click to remember the music they’ve heard on music and TV shows and save them to a personal playlist. There will also be recommended tracks from BBC DJs, presenters and popular programmes. These playlists can them be exported to one of the aforementioned music services.
Launching “in the coming days”, the Playlister service will work across desktop and mobile browsers without a problem, the BBC said.
