More and more applications just work from within the browser. Aviary is a startup that has the ambition to bring all kinds of design and creative applications into this operating system. Think Adobe suite, but as a service and for free.
Aviary already released quite a few web apps in the last month and they don’t seem to stop. Phoenix is their photoshop alternative, Peacock a visual lab for pixel images, Toucan a colorpallet and Rave an Illustrator alternative (Take a look here for a complete list). And now they have released Myna.
Myna takes it a step further by bringing audio editing into the cloud. You can use Myna to remix music tracks and audio clips. Record your own voice or instruments through the browser and apply some sound effects.
It’s amazing to see how powerful this web app is and it works fast as well. Dragging and dropping tracks and listening to what you’ve created is done instantly. This is the first time I’m thinking of switching from my installed sound editor to the web version. Take a look at the video below to get a feeling or start the application with a demo track.
