The TechCrunch Crunchie Awards were held this afternoon, Sydney Time, and Australia was represented amongst the heavyweights of tech by 2 startups.
Custom shoe design site, Shoes of Prey, were finalists in the Best Bootstrapped Startup category, which is a massive effort considering how many bootstrapped startups there are out there.
Atlassian were finalists and got the Runners up award in the Best Enterprise App category. It’s a huge endorsement of their work, particularly considering they beat out products from Microsoft, Salesforce and Amazon. Here’s hoping they can go one better next year.
Some things to note – it was a shame to see only Euro and UK companies represented in the Best International Category and also it was interesting to see Facebook pick up the best overall startup/product category despite all the buzz around Twitter.
