After an extensive delay, Apple’s AirPods are finally on sale.
The $159 wireless earbuds were originally supposed to go on sale in October, but were delayed after Apple said it needed “a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers.” At least we didn’t have to wait until January.
The headphone feature a new W1 chip that allow you to pair the headphones simply by flipping open their charging case near an iPhone. They also have some smart features such as the ability to pause music automatically when they are removed from your ears.
Deliveries are now estimated to begin arriving December 21, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see that date be pushed back as word of their availability picks up.
