Apple announces a slew of new features with the introduction of iOS 8, including refreshed app interfaces, interactive notifications and several new SDKs.
HomeKit, one of Apple’s freshly unveiled SDKs, aggregates smart home apps into one control panel.
iOS 8 also comes with a new QuickType feature that adds contextual typing to the Messages app.
Developers were audibly excited at the announcement of Apple’s new programming language, Swift.
